FESS: Ruth Eleanor nee: Schumacher

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ruth Fess in her 89th year, at Anson Place, Hagersville. Beloved wife of 69 years to Ken Fess; loving mother of Diane Secord (Earl), Beth Peters (Glen), Sharon Rulli (Sandy), Judy Vanderbolt (Gary), Doug Fess (Terry); dear grandmother to 18 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. Sister of Harvey Schumacher and Margery Whisler (deceased). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ruth was a longstanding member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Fisherville. She liked singing, music, gardening, and spending time with her family. Thanks to all the caregivers at Anson Place for their loving and compassionate care. The family will honour her life with visitation at the Hyde & Mott Chapel of R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main St. S., Hagersville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be celebrated in Trinity Lutheran Church, Fisherville on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 11 am. Interment Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Fisherville. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Alzheimer’s Society or the charity of your choice.
