STROHM: Robert Dean “Rob”
Passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at the age of 54 years. Son of the late Lawrence & Deannie. Loving brother of Donna & the late Ed, Cathie (deceased) & Don, Jim & Dianne, Brenda (deceased) & Ben, Randy & Joy, and Roy & Maryann. Loved and remembered by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Will be sorely missed by his “Club 49 Jarvis” friends and family. Rob had a charismatic nature and made friends easily. He was passionate about journalism and sports. Rob fondly recalled his time working with the Hamilton Dukes hockey club, and he was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, Toronto Maple Leafs and the Vegas Raiders. For those wishing to make a donation in Rob’s memory, the family asks that you consider giving to https://kidsportcanada.ca/ontario/norfolk-county/, a registered charity that provides grants for children’s involvement in sports. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements by Hyde & Mott Chapel, Hagersville. A celebration of his life is being planned for a later date. www.rhbanderson.com

So sad to hear of Rob's passing. He was a fixture around Hagersville when I was a child; always happy and full of life. I'm so sorry he had to leave his loved ones so young. My thoughts, prayers and sympathies go out to the entire family.

To all the Strohm families, Kathy and I would like to share our deepest sympathies on the loss of Rob. For the past few years now Rob would make his daily walking trip to the store in Jarvis and pass by our home on each trip. Whenever we were outside he would stop briefly to say hello and often we would dive into a conversation concerning sports scores and moves and trades. I’m quite sure in a few cases we made the teams sound a lot better than they actually ended up being. I will certainly miss these enjoyed conversations. We are sorry for your loss and offer our condolences.

My deepest sympathies to all of the Strohm family and to all of the people who loved him. He was quite a character and made many people laugh with his great sense of humour. He was also a great teammate when we played ball together in Jarvis and kept everyone entertained with his many funny stories about life. He will be dearly missed for sure and I know that he will live on in all of our fondest memories of him. May he find peace now with all of his most cherished loved ones.
Sincerely,
Paul Doughty and family.

Condolences to all of Rob’s family and friends. I’ve not seen Rob since High school but remember him well. We played on the same team in hockey growing up for a few yrs and of course we hung out offer during those yrs. I wish I had the please of knowing him after high school but moving away and serving in the military prevented that. Way to young Rob to leave this world. From what I remember of you I know that you will be missed greatly. Rest well my friend and keep your stick on the ice.

My condolences to all of Rob’s family and friends. I’ve not seen Rob since we were young adults graduating high school. Rob was a good childhood friend back when he lived on Howard St. and played hockey together. I remember he was a great hockey player and always cared about his teammates. We all looked up to him and he was always the guy that looked out for all his teammates. I’m sure after I left to join the military that Rob carried on in life looking out for everyone, it’s just who he was. Wish I had the pleasure of knowing you Rob all these yrs. Rest easy my friend and keep your stick on the ice.
Your friend always.
