I'd only had the pleasure of knowing Ray in the last few years but was impressed by his quick wit, a smile that was equal parts mischief and good humour and an unmatched strength and courage. He was an honest and genuine soul who made the world around him better and he will be missed greatly.

Ray Miles was a well loved man by family and friends who he called family. He was ALWAYS happy and joking around whether it be with his children, grandchildren or a complete stranger. He brought many smiles and laughs to people in the community. Ray will be missed deeply by his amazing family but has left them with countless memories :) Miles families, you truly are a role model for up and coming families in the community. With love, Emma Vokes (Phillips)

My deepest Sympathy to the MIles family. It was an honour working with Ray at Hamilton Hydro. We spent many times working in association with each other during emergencies. We could always depend on Ray to be there during these power outage emergencies........Carmine Calabrese

My sincerest condolences to Ray's family! To me, this news is a real shock! I had known Ray as a kid, having grown up with him and his brothers, Scott and Darrell, and his sister Brenda! I remember Ray as being very athletic and highly competitive... a true loss!!!
