Passed away peacefully at West Haldimand General Hospital, Hagersville on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at the age of 90 years.  Beloved husband of Norma Nigh and the late Dorothy Hux.  Dear father of Betty Hendriks, the late Donna Reed (Bob), Carol Chipman (Don), Linda Tietz (Bob), and the late Bonnie Young (the late Ernie).  Dear grandfather of 10 grandchildren; Amy, Mike, Kathy, Lindsay, Chad, Ryan, Shaun, Ariel, MaryJane, Jason, and 8 great grandchildren.  He will be also missed by his extended family.  Predeceased by brothers John, Joe, and Bert.  The family will honour his life with visitation at the Hyde & Mott Chapel of R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main S., Hagersville on  Thursday 6-8 p.m. A Celebration of Maurice’s life and Home Going will be held at The Dwelling Place, Springvale Be In Christ Church, 2602 Haldimand Rd. #55, Hagersville on Friday September 27, 2019 at 11 a.m. Interment Bethel Cemetery, Rainham.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brethren In Christ World Hunger Fund or the West Haldimand General Hospital Foundation.  www.rhbanderson.com

So very sorry , Aunt Norma and the entire Sherk family. I have many fond memories and favourite recipes from my days visiting the farm in my younger years. I remember Uncle Maurice as such a sweet and gentle man with a quiet sense of humour. I'm sure you will all miss him terribly but I pray your faith and memories will comfort you. Much love...Debbie

Our deepest sympathies to Norma and family , Mr Sherk was the custodian at my school , Northview public school ! I simply adored him , he would always greet us with a smile and would always talk to us! You truly will be missed !
