Margaret Louise Arnold (nee Smelser)
August 22, 1942 - May 1, 2022

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Margaret on May 1, 2022 in her 80th year. Loving wife of over 50 years to Harvey Arnold. Cherished  mom of Roger Arnold and Karen (Jason) Branigan. Special grandma to Josh, Austin (Ava), Cassidy, Aidan, Ethan, Owen (predeceased). Beloved daughter to the late Lawson and Clara Smelser and daughter in law to the Late Lawson and Irene Arnold. Cherished sister to Ralph Smelser,  the late Armin (Ann) Smelser, Carl Smelser , Jim (Ruth) Smelser,  Roy (Linda) Smelser and the late Ruth Willis (nee Smelser) as well as many nieces and nephews and dear friends. Mom was a very devote and dedicated Christian and lived her life as Jesus had taught her! She had a love for all things in nature, gardening, farming, going to yard sales, camping with the family, and baking sweet treats for everyone! She put her family and others first before her own needs, dispite pain, sickness and hardships....she always had a bright cheery smile and a sweet caring disposition!  She truly loved her family and the love of her grandchildren was undying. A true Angel has earned her Heavenly wings, and will always be our Guardian Angel watching over us from high above, nestled in the hands of Jesus! At this time I would like to thank the many doctors and nurses that took such exceptional care of Mom in Welland, St.Catherines, and lastly in Port Colborne hospitals!  A very heartfelt THANK YOU to Kim, Jocelyn and Dawn of Paramed Home Health Care for their sincere care for Mom! Mother, you may be gone from this earthly place, but you will ALWAYS be in our hearts! Spread your golden wings, you have definitely earned them over and over! Donations can be made in mom’s honour to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family will honour her life with visitation at the Hyde & Mott Chapel of R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main St. S., Hagersville on Thursday May 5, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.  Cremation to follow.  A gathering to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.  www.rhbanderson.com
