Lois Eileen Gordon
Peacefully at Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Friday November 29, 2024 at the age of 88 years. Loving mother of Sandy Rogers (James), and Pam Boufford (Norval). Loving and proud grandma of Melissa Barber-Hong (Arty), Jason Barber (Elissa), Carina Boufford and the late Matthew Boufford. Adoring great grandma of Benjamin, Kingston, Fiore, Aiden and Jakob. Daughter of the late Cecil & Marion Davis. Sister of Kathleen Herkimer and the late Millie, Shirley, and Roger. Lois will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Lois was active in her community. She was a long time member of the Assembly of Friends where she acted as Secretary for 32years! and also taught Sunday School. She was also a member of the Janet Bonney friendship group and a past Vice President.
Playing Hoss (Not Euchre!!)with the Selkirk Seniors Card Group, where she was a past president, was always a highlight of her week. Monday afternoons were set aside for attending the Port Dover Lions club "show and shine" where she would socialize and enjoy the music. Elvis was her favorite!
Lois also had a profound interest in gardening and was a lifetime member of the Port Dover Horticultural club, where she acted as Secretary.
The family would like to thank the medical team at NGH as well as those involved in the care that she received at home for their compassion and understanding.
The family will honour her life with visitation at Hyde & Mott Chapel, R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main Street South, Hagersville on Thursday December 5th 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday December 6, 2024 at 11 a.m. Interment Hagersville Cemetery.
