To Wayne, Braden, Louise, Ivan, and family: Please accept my sincerest condolences. During her career at Mohawk College, Lisa had a huge impact on so many of us, both within and outside of our college community. She reached thousands and thousands … students, colleagues, and community members who had the privilege to find themselves in her classroom, a presentation, or her presence. Some people make a dent; Lisa stomped her foot down and is leaving a gigantic mark --- an incredible legacy. She was truly a powerhouse … a trailblazer, especially in the digital wellness space. She made things better; she made us better. I will miss my friend.

Dear Wayne, Braden, Louise, Ivan and the Pender and Touesnard Families: Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your incredible wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. I had the pleasure of working with Lisa at Mohawk College and becoming her friend over the years. She left an indelible mark on me and the entire College community. She introduced me to the digital wellness space, providing me with many opportunities to help her facilitate workshops, and encouraged me to set high standards for myself. Anyone who was lucky enough to have met Lisa, even just once, can attest to the incredible woman she was. She was brilliant, positive, and always willing to lend a listening ear or provide support and advice to her friends, colleagues and students. I will never forget her. May the beautiful memories you hold with her bring you comfort during this time.

Our deepest condolences to Wayne, Braden and the entire family. We first met Lisa many years ago at the Glanbrook Skating Club, where she introduced my daughter to her love of skating. Lisa was such a dedicated coach and mentor to my Olivia and all her skaters. She quickly became a friend, whom we could talk to about anything. She had a special way of listening, of sharing about her journey, but most importantly was an inspiration because of her strength and determination. She will forever be missed and remembered. May she rest in eternal peace. We love you Lisa❤️, Stacy and Olivia

My sincerest condolences to Lisa's family and friends. Lisa was a colleague and friend at Mohawk College. I fondly recall her being the first person to offer me assistance when I started at the college, and our many office and hallway conversations about school, life, family and skating. She had an infectious personality and a sharp sense of humor. Lisa was always there for her friends and colleagues, and was always willing to drop what she was doing to help someone else. Gone far too soon. Lisa, you will be dearly missed. / Stephen.

I am so saddened by this news.
I oversee content at LifeSpeak and Lisa worked with us on content to support digital health and wellness for our members. She was so passionate about this and an absolute joy to work with: gracious, funny, enthusiastic.
We loved our day with her filming videos in studio in 2022.
So many people have benefited from Lisa's insight and knowledge - I certainly have - and we send our deepest condolences to her family.

Dearest Louise,Ivan and family,
My deepest sympathies for your loss. Life is so precious and I cannot imagine how this very sad news is true. I hope your memories of Lisa give you the strength to heal and carry on.
I know it’s been awhile since we have seen each other. But your family always left a lasting and very fond memory with me. A real core memory - the warmth and charm of your family home and the beautiful smile of your late Mom/wife. And spunk Lisa had as a child and I sure this continued throughout her life.
Sending our love and strength. Alicia Yurichuk and family

All our warmest thoughts go to Lisa's entire family and circle of loved ones. Every year, sometimes multiple time a year Lisa would volunteer her time to help train incoming Mohawk profs. She was chosen to do so because she was one of the very best. She's impacted thousands of students but also hundreds of educators who took the advice she was so generous to share. Her impact in the college education system in the region will be felt for generations. I can only imagine what an amazing person she was outside of work - because at the job she was one of the very best and exuded the best qualities making us all want to be better.
