September 17, 1946 - June 11, 2025
Loving mother of Chris (late Debbie), and Tara King. Daughter of the late Graham & Philnese (Brant) King. Loving sister to Lorne (deceased), Les, Lonnie, Lawrence (Lolly)-deceased), Jean, Bev and Victor King. Special friend of Ken Maracle. Leona was a kind and caring woman, she enjoyed cards and chaos (euchre with siblings) and worked for years in different factory jobs; when Harding Carpets closed she went into her second career of fostering children for almost 24 years. She never wanted to refuse/give up on a foster child. She was a fur Mom of BB and Kitty. She mothered younger siblings as well as opened her home and heart to extended family (Scott n Mike).

Our sincere condolences on the loss of such a wonderful, caring woman. She gave many of her years to raise foster children and continued to love them after they had reached adulthood. She loved her children more than anything and was always there for them. She had a wonderful smile that made you feel good when you ran into her. Always a cheerful hello and took the time to ask how things were going. May knowing others are thinking of you give you both the strength to get thru this difficult time. RIP my friend.
