Lenora Marie “Swit” Doxtater (nee Jamieson)
April 25, 1941- April 13, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, “Swit” (as she was known), also our grandmother, great-grandmother, granny, nana, sister, auntie and friend. She has gone home to be with her Sky World Family. Left to cherish her memory are her Children: Jo-Anne (late Sam), Jeanne (late Ray), David, Darren, Beth (Travers) and Robbynne (Keegan); her Grandchildren: Bryan, Val (Adam), Krystene (Berton), Whaylon, Brandy (Jim), Donni (Kyle), Ryan (Kristen), Dominc (Kyeriah), Lexi (Carter), Alli, Darrien, Daylen, Mai-Leigh, Simone, Alden and Emmilou; her Great-Grandchildren: Dharma, Jax “Jocko”, Ethan, Tyra “Banks”, Jreyke, Harley “Little Jamie” and Ivylee; her Siblings: Randy (Janice), Lorna and Lorraine (Terry “Bear”). Predeceased by her Husband Donald Doxtater; her Children: Kathy, Jamie (Rachel & Ginger), Darrell, and Krissy; her Parents: Lorne “Buck” and Lenora “Lin” Jamieson; her Brothers: Lorne Jr “Junie”, Daniel “John” and Clifford; her Sisters: Wanda, Sandra, and Gail; her Brother-in-laws: Earl, Leonard, Lester and Marwood “Chuck”; and her Sister-in-law: Rose. “Swit” will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Special Thanks to Dr. Trevor and his Palliative Healthcare Team & the many Nurses and Care Partners that assisted with her care at home: Tessa, Melodie & Kim & the Community Paramedics: Mike & Laura. Mom worked in the Health profession for many years: She was a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) and worked at the Brantford General Hospital for a number of years; she was a CAS Worker; and she was a Foster Mom to many. Mom was an avid Sports Fan & an active Sports Participant: Mom loved her Wrestling and she watched several Shows daily; she achieved a Green Belt in Karate; she was a 5-Pin Bowler for the “Tuesday Night Coffee Club League” & the “Thursday Night League”; she played Box Lacrosse for “Moms Against Dads” & “Mamas Team”; she played Hockey for “Mamas Team”; and she played Baseball for “Thomas’ Corner” & “Ohsweken Stingers” & “69 Corner” & “Martins’ Corner” & “Sour Springs.” Mom was quite the Sports Enthusiast.
Mom will be brought home Tuesday morning, everyone is welcome for visitation. Resting at Her Home: 588 Second Line. Prayer Services: Tuesday April 15 at 7pm & Wednesday April 16 at 7pm. Funeral Service: Thursday April 17, 2025 at 11:00am. Interment: St. Paul’s Anglican Church at 1187 Second Line; with Reception to follow at her Home. Officiated by: Pastor Bobby Douglas.
