Kenneth George King

September 9 1951 – April 26 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of a most kind-hearted and giving soul, Kenny ‘Looking Hawk’ (e’naabid ke’ke) King, of the bear clan, M’kwa.  Our loss reverberates throughout the community amongst those who loved and knew him well. Devoted father to Jolene, Jerry, and Carla (Brian Campbell).  Predeceased by his wife, the late Dorothy Ann (Carpenter), his parents, the late George and Ida Mae King, and his late brothers, Ronnie, Robin, Sandy Paul, Henri, Billie, Jean; late twin girls - Judith and Jewel and infant sibling.  Loving brother-in-law to Frederick King and Carpenter family.  Brother to Kathryn Rose (Melville Simcoe), Vicki (Kim Jamieson), Tony, Errol (Jackie), Valarie, Clynt King, and Clydie.  Special Uncle to all, especially to nephew, Patrick, and niece, Jen. Best grandfather to Miikawaadizi, baby Ogchidaawi, Gwetaahnaa, Jerrilynn King/Russell, Jerald W.L. King, Mystical P King, Chayton (Bailey Laforme), Karressa Bomberry, Tehya A King, James, Kayla and Emily. Proud great grandfather to Prince, Philly, Atticus and Isla.  Dad was a quick witted cousin and loyal friend to many.
He never liked to be in the spotlight, but his light and spirit will continue to shine on in us, especially in his nieces, nephews, grandkids and great grandkids, forever more. Resting at New Credit Community Centre, 659 New Credit Road, Hagersville after 3pm Friday, where funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11am. Interment New Credit Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements by Hyde & Mott Chapel. www.rhbanderson.com

Always in our hearts, never forgotten.

Sending our sincere condolences to the family. Kenny always had a smile on his face and was always willing to help anyone in need. He treated everyone equally native or non-native. Kenny was a good listen and someone we will miss dearly. Hope knowing others are thinking of you give you strength thru this difficult time. He is now in the arms of the creator but his memories and spirit will shine on.
