Passed peacefully, surrounded with love, at Stedman’s Community Hospice in Brantford, ON on August 23, 2026 at 12:05 a.m. Kari is survived by her children Boshk (Annette), Dawniss (Karl), Martina, Corrina, Bettina (Marc & Lori), and Georgina (Bill) by her siblings Wanda, Cindy (Tony), Brock (Cathy), Sandy, Jerry, Ramona, Barbara (George), and Norman by grandchildren and great-grandchildren Destiny, Wyatt, Corey, Alyssa (Tyler) - Nowaatin, Laken, Kodyn, Kessler, Hope (Corey) - Caiden, Hazelynn, Nicole, Joshua, Jaylen - Grace, Nicholas, Brandon, Brianna - Maeya, RJ, Marceline, Sarah, Autumn - Rowan, and Raelynn and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kari is predeceased by her son Jason-baa, husband John-baa, brother Scott, niece Jessica, in-laws Ed, Georgina, Bea, Francis, Ronny, & Pauline, her parents Chub & Darlene (Deopping) Smith, many cousins, friends & co-workers, and ceremony family. Sacred fire started Sunday, August 23. Visitation will take place Monday, August 24 at 1074 Sour Springs Road, ceremony and burial to be held Tuesday, August 25, at 10:00 a.m., at 1074 Sour Springs Road. www.rhbanderson.comÂ
