John (Jack) Richard Hurst
The family of John (Jack) Richard Hurst of Lynden is saddened to announce his passing on Sunday March 12th 2023 at the age of 79 years. Jack was one of the kindest people you could know. He was smart, kind and seemed to know how to fix almost anything. Whenever a friend, neighbour or family member needed help, Jack was always the first to show up and joyfully help out. Jack worked at Firestone and Procter & Gamble, loved cars, fishing, and auto racing, but most of all he loved his family.
Jack was a devoted husband to Janette for 55 years, a beloved dad to Sherry, Mark (Sarah), Mike (Juliet), a proud and loving grandpa to Zach, Sam, Alannah, Ty, Natalie, Jackson, Riley, Paisley, Eli, a brother to Robert (Karen), Gary (Wendy), and a lifelong friend to Garnet Knapman. Jack was predeceased by parents John Sr. & May, sister Jean, son John Jr., and brother Robert.
