Joanne Elizabeth Peterson (nee Patterson)

March 10, 1961 - May 1, 2025

It is with a VERY broken heart that I announce the passing of just short of 20 years of being together the love of my life, Joanne at the Brantford General Hospital.  At the Young age of only 64.  She was predeceased by her parents John & Anna Patterson.  Joanne is survived and will be forever remembered by the love of her life Les G.Green, her niece Holly, great-nephew Arlo, nephew Devon and loving brother Rod and wife Kathy, and sisters Vicki, and Chris.

Although Joanne’s journey was short, she was God-gifted and very passionate in her life, in using her 45 years of experience in having an in-depth, highly successful working knowledge of all the healing aspects of Holistic and Naturopathic ways. That she had skillfully helped numerous family, friends and clients regain and retain their health with. Joanne was also a Merit Certified Reflexologist (healing thru the feet) from the International Institute of Reflexology. St. Petersburg, Fl. Of which, she had helped an equal amount of people overcome many health issues. Jo also attended McMaster University, Mohawk College and was an undergraduate of York University. She loved to cook Italian dishes, baking, reading, researching, writing poems and about dream interpretations. She was highly intuitive. And loved listening to classic rock, bluegrass, country (especially Dwight Yoakam!), 80’s music and CJIQ 88.3fm Alternative radio and painting nature scenes on glassware. And when I had dogs (she absolutely loved and adored Boss, Star, and Luke!).  She was a girl after my own heart! Jo was special. As everyday, l always said to her, "l love you Baba!" she'd say, "l love you too Dino!" She always knew she could lean on me to help and protect her.

And finally, Joanne was an honest, unselfish, compassionate, kind, gentle, industrious (made every day count), unpretentious, accommodating, soft spoken, loving spirit. Of whom, many will miss who got to know her, as I have since 1977 BCI High school, and I will miss her very dearly. As, not only was Jo the love of my life, she was the very best person and friend I’ve ever known. I will always love you (Baba!) God speed into the loving arms of our Father in Heaven. Amen. We will hold hands again. In Jesus name.

Much thanks to Bill Lofthouse for your special help. Cremation arrangements by Styres Funeral Home, Ohsweken. Also special thanks to the I.C.U. team at B.G.H. for your delicate care and attention for my Jo. Also, very special thanks to cousin Donna and the prayer group, one of my nieces, Monica for her wonderful support, also nieces Stacey and Roxii, and nephews Bill, Clayton, and predeceased by nephew Chris (he always called her Auntie JoJo!), and my brothers Wayne and Eddie (Sonny) both deceased, had loved Jo dearly too, and my kid sister Deana and husband Marty.  All of our friends for their great support and prayers. Lois, Glennie (for his great jokes and always teasing her!), Barb, Marshall, Linda, Tom, Bobby, Steve, Karen, Stan, Mary, also Howard (loved his humour and laugh!).  I Thank and God bless you ALL for your unwavering and dedicated prayers for my girl. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Nya:we!
