Called home to be with her Lord & Saviour, Joan passed away at home on Sunday November 12, 2017 at the age of 71 years. Beloved wife of 48 years to John Bacher. Loving mother of Dr. Jennifer Thompson (Drew), and Jeff Bacher. Dear grandmother of Cassidy, Caitlyn, and Sydney. Daughter of the late Ross & Lorna (Winger) Nagel. Sister of Bruce, Jay (Penny), Lee, and Ron (Betty). Joan will also be remembered by her nieces and nephews, Tracy (Vince), Jason (Jana), Amy (Joe), and Melissa and their families. Joan taught elementary school for several years and then stayed home to raise her family and help her husband operate their dairy farm. At that time she was a 4-H Leader and was very active in many organizations with her church including Sunday School, Ladies Aid and LWML. The family will honour her life with visitation at the Hyde & Mott Chapel, R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main St., South, Hagersville on Monday November 20, 2017 from 1-3 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 30 Erie Ave., North, Fisherville on Tuesday November 21, 2017 at 2 p.m. Interment Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
