Jeffrey Winston “Jeff” Barker
January 26, 1967 - February 16, 2020

Peacefully on Sunday, February 16th 2020, after a valiant battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).  Jeff displayed great strength until the very end and was surrounded by those he loved the most during his final day on Earth. Jeff leaves behind his beloved wife Stacey and their children, Kelsey & Josh, Kyle, Ciara & Dylan of whom he was immensely proud . "Sadly missed by his faithful companion Brady.”  He is the dear son of Charlie and Linda, cherished brother of Connie & Pete, Brad & Marsha and Danny, much loved son-in-law of Joyce Brown and Al Brown, and brother-in-law to Shawn & Rene and Scott & Torie.  He will be remembered as a witty and dedicated family man to many aunts, uncles and cousins, nieces and nephews.  Jeff worked tirelessly for 19 years at Harwil Farms and was dedicated and passionate about his job.  He strove to ensure that his customers received the best service and advice possible.  He was member of the Jarvis Lions Club for 30 years and took great pride in serving the community.  The family will honour his life with visitation at the Hyde & Mott Chapel of R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main St. S., Hagersville on Thursday from 5-8 pm. where Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 11am. Interment Caledonia Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy donations can be made to the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation (ALS Clinic).

Jeff touched the lives of so many and will forever be remembered as Hank, our hero.

Our deepest sympathies to the Barker family. It is never easy to lose a brother/son.I can only say you will find the strength to move forward with time. A parent losing a child before their time is difficult and emotional. Please be strong for each other. Remember Jeff may have left you but memories live forever.

I am very sorry to hear about Jeff's passing. He was a great person who I enjoyed talking to on many occasions, including things like farming, or dancing,(our daughters Rebekah and Ciara danced together for a few years), or just about the weather, but it was always nice to just spend some time talking with him about things like this, and I know that he will be missed very deeply by all who knew him and all who loved him who also enjoyed being with him. My sympathies to all of you and I hope that you can find comfort in your loving memories of him now. May his kind, caring, and generous spirit carry you all during this most difficult time.
Sincerely,
Paul Doughty and Family.

We are so sorry for your loss. What a struggle you all have been through. They say only the good die young and we have only heard great things about Jeff.
So great your kids are all near you. Hope you are able to get a little time to take care of yourself in the days to come.
