ROHRBACH: Howard Gerald
Our family is mourning the loss of our Patriarch. Howard Gerald Rohrbach moved to the arms of our Heavenly Father on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Anson Place, Hagersville, Ontario in his 95th year. Dad was the beloved husband of our mother Vera Booker (predeceased 1975) and special friend to Rachel Williams (predeceased) and Shirley Fehrman (predeceased). Cherished father of Gary Rohrbach, Vancouver, B.C., and Judy Garner (Stephen), Dowling , Ontario. Admired grandfather of Brent Garner (Christa), Dowling, and Talia Garner, Vancouver. Special “Big Grandpa” to Isabella, Lucas, and Gavin. Dad was always amazed when “his” family of little people came to visit each Thanksgiving weekend of the county fair, a special memory that will be forever cherished. Dad was the son of William and Alice Rohrbach and sibling of Elson (Agnes), Edna Schweyer (Edgar) and Mildred Fess (Wilfred) all predeceased. Dad was a life long resident of Selkirk and often mused that he only moved across the backyard (where he built the family home). Fishing was a common theme throughout Dad’s life, whether it was commercial on Lake Erie, recreational on the French or frying up in his backyard, it was a life long pursuit that he enjoyed with many of his peers.
