Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I do not die.

IF ROSES GROW IN HEAVEN

If roses grow in heaven, Lord please pick a bunch for me.
Place them in my mother's arms, and tell her they're from me

Tell her, I love her and miss her, and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile.

Because remembering her is easy, I do it everyday,
But there's an ache within my heart that will never go away.

to my Mom....

I love you and miss you
your son Garry Owen Porteous

Vicki Porteous(wife) and Corry (Garry's son, Helen's Grandson) also send their love to the family

It's a well-known fact that we had the best grandma. Gram, you were always so kind to everyone. You had the most beautiful smile and you shared it with everyone. You were always interested to know what was new in our lives. You always complimented me on my clothes and told me: 'don't work too hard'.
I love you Gram.
