On Sunday, August 14th, 2022 at Nithview Home in New Hamburg, Hazel (Winger) Laidlaw, formerly of Wingham, passed away in her 106th year. Devoted mother of William & Marg Winger of New Hamburg. Cherished grandmother of eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and many more adopted step-children, grandchildren and extended family. Loving mother-in-law of Luella Winger of Ethel and Larry Sider of Charlottetown. Hazel will be lovingly remembered by Clifford’s family as well as her large extended family. Predeceased by her parents Norman & Velma (Marr) McCombs, first husband Kenneth Winger, second husband Clifford Laidlaw, son LeRoy Winger, daughters Marjorie Wilson and Edith Sider, four sisters and one brother. Visitation will be held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Tuesday, August 16th, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A funeral service to honour Hazel’s life will be held on Friday, August 19th, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at Hyde & Mott Chapel, R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main St., Hagersville, with interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Springvale. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to ShareWord Global (Gideons) or Every Home for Christ International - Canada would be appreciated.

To the family of our dear Aunt Hazel We send our sympathies and prayers for the loss of a very special and precious lady. She was such a blessing to everyone of us who knew and loved her very much. She will be missed greatly but knowing that she is with Jesus now that will give us comfort and peace for this time of sadness and for the days ahead.
