January 24, 1937 - January 5, 2026

 


Beloved wife of 67 years to Victor “Papa Vic”.  Loving mother of Murray (Elaine), Vicky, and Tim (Sheri).  Dear grandma Glenda to 10 grandchildren , 34 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.  Sister of Penny (late Floyd). Sister-in-law of John, Helen, and Joan.  Aunt to many nieces and nephews. 

Predeceased by parents Thomas & Gladys (Curley) Martin.  Sisters and brothers Brenda Davis, Thomas Martin, Whalen Martin, Alva Martin, Norris Martin, and
Linda Cochrane. Brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law Carmen (Eleanor), Woody, Sheila (Dave).

Glenda was a teacher for over 30 years, she had a passion for educating and helping the youth succeed. She was deeply involved in figure skating at Six Nations, both as a coach and an administrator.  Always ready with a friendly smile and a sharp wit, she will be missed by many members of the community and survived by generations of adoring family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donation be made to the Six Nations Figure Skating Club (via e-transfer to pay.snsc@gmail.com).

As per her wishes, a private family visitation will be held with cremation to follow. Arrangements by Styres Funeral Home, Ohsweken.  www.rhbanderson.com

My Dad (+2022) played and coached with/against Vic and always spoke well of him and held him in high regard. My sincere sympathies to you Mr. Porter and family.
