Franklin Russell Davis
August 11, 1955 - May 19, 2025
Peacefully surrounded by family, we announce the passing of Franklin Russell Davis, age 69. Born to the late Russell and Norma (Lickers) Davis. Loving husband and best friend to his wife, Rhonda, with whom he shared 53 years. Loving father to Nic (Mekwan), Russell (Chelsea), and Kayla. He cherished his role as "Doodzee" to his grandchildren: Teiekahrí:ios, Rakwiró:roks, Kawisá:’a, Dehadonhétrase, Odęhgo:do and Kaianénhtha.
Frank is survived by his siblings: Otiskhé:ta, Judy, Char (LeRoy) and Michelle (late Irwin). Brother in law to the late Kenny (Donna), late Barry (Brenda), Kathy (late Noel), Chuck (Andrea), and Judy. Will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Frank was an Ironworker who worked throughout all of North America. He was also a proud founding parent of Kawenní:io/Gawęní:yo School, supporting the preservation of language and culture. Frank will be resting at his home, 1691 Third Line Road (Frog Pond). Visitation will be Thursday May 22nd anytime after 12:00pm. Funeral service taking place at his home at 11:00am on Friday May 23rd, followed by burial at Grand River United Church, 1585 Mohawk Road, Ohsweken.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Brantford General ICU and Palliative Care teams for their exceptional care and support during Frank's final days.
