Dear Bryon,

Tom, our family and I extend our sincere sympathy to you at what I know is a very sad and mournful time. We are so shocked and saddened by your unexpected loss. You have our deepest sympathy at this very sad time. It is practically impossible for us to understand what you might be going through now.

Such profound a loss it is when you realize that she will no longer be there for all the events in your life. I can tell you though that the very best way to mark her passing is by filling your mind with all of the wonderful memories you have of happier times.

Emily was always so cheerful, warm, happy, generous, funny and loving. We remember and enjoyed listening as Emily would tell us about her love for horses, dogs and creating colouring books; it was as if we were there with her doing it all with her for the first time, ---we will cherish those memories, and hope that it can bring a smile to your face even in this time of sorrow. Emily was such a wonderful person and we thought the world of her. She was amazing and lived a happy life. Words do an injustice in explaining how much we will miss Emily. She will remain very alive in our memories and admiration. It is really hard to think that we won’t see her again.

It is times like this that we put our faith to the test. We feel that is why we have to use our faith to see us through the grief and despair that comes with tragedy.

Emily would want us to keep her memory alive in expressing our faith. All our prayers should remind us of the loving and compassionate person that she was.

The Bible says "Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted." We pray that God will bless you and give you the strength to get through this very difficult time.

There's nothing we can say that will ease your pain but we just wanted you to know we are thinking of you.

Bryon, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. May you find comfort in the outpouring of sympathy from all of us who share your loss.

Sending you lots of Love
Ellie & Tom, Jenn, Josh and Family, Sharon & Matthew, Alex

She Is Gone
By David Harkins

You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived

You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left

Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday

You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
