Here his company and Paul worked on a project to find a safer anti-arrhythmic drug and  succeeded. When the company bought another research institute, Paul decided to return to Canada and resume practice of retail pharmacy. Paul and Anne purchased McColl Pharmacy in Hagersville becoming effective January 1, 1975.  After experience with the Canadian Military as a pharmacist, Paul Jr. joined their company. Later they opened a second pharmacy in Jarvis, On.  These pharmacies are now owned and operated by Paul Jr.

To Paul Jr, Mrs. Anne Cavanagh, Patrick, Norma, Katharine/Ben Hill and Mark/Susan Cavanagh,
We are making our way through these past few days with a heavy heart reminiscing of the numerous times over the past 20+ years we were greeted with a warm hello by your Father/Husband, Paul Sr. as we crossed the threshold into his store.
There are no words that we can say that can take away that awful, painful feeling of utter loss that you all find yourselves in right now.
After going through the recent loss of my Father, I wish I could say it gets better right away, however that is not the truth. Time will allow you to become somewhat numb to the stinging sensation that envelopes you each time you think of your Dad and often at times it catches you unprepared when suddenly overcome with grief out of the blue. When this happens, immediately think of a time you had together that was special to you, it will help you in those few moments.
You all are in our thoughts and prayers.
God bless,
Jill & Rick Winfield & Family

To our dearest friends, Mark and Sue, and their families in this time of sadness. No matter the time that passes, find peace in all of the cherished memories each of you have to never allow him to fade from your mind. Allow yourselves the time needed to heal and I pray that everyone will be comforted by the joyest times had with Paul Sr. He would want you to remember the happy years shared by all and not the past year of the battle. Forever in your hearts xoxo RIP Dr. Paul Sr
