Peacefully at West Haldimand General Hospital, Hagersville on Monday October 23, 2023 in her 99th year.  Wife of the late Clarke MacDougall Smith.  Loving mother of Shirley & Wayne Kellar, Glenn & Mary Smith, Allan A. & the late Lori Smith, and Marilyn & Keith Vanderbolt & the late Dan Coxon.  Dear grandmother  of Nathan (Aimmie), Becky (Nolan), Adam (Carolyn), Farrah (Lance), Joshua (Jacqueline), Ashley (Brandon), Jason, Hillary (Maurice), and Andrea (Tim).  Dear great grandmother of 24 great grandchildren.  Sister-in-law of Lyle & Jean Smith.  Also survived by many nieces & nephews.  Predeceased by brothers Ross and Howard Allan.

The family will honour her life with a visitation at the Hyde & Mott Chapel of R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main St. S., on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 11 a.m.  Interment Gore Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Oneida United Church or to the West Haldimand General Hospital Foundation.  www.rhbanderson.com

Met Dorothy many years ago when I played ball with Marilyn and she would come and cheers us on.She was a wonderful lady and she will be missed by many.

Sorry to hear of Dorothy's passing. I'll always remember her as the person having more energy and enthusiasm than most people could imagine. She was one of the many brides who made Oneida more beautiful the year she and Clark married. A treasured neighbour.

Dear Marilyn and extended Smith family- please accept my sincere and belated condolences on Dorothy’s passing. Over the years she always made me feel welcome during my visits to Ontario.
