Dorothy Evelyn Bier   nee: Hesse
May 20, 1926 - November 25, 2024



Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Leisure Living Retirement Home, Jarvis on November 25, 2024 in her 99th year.  Wife of the late Charles E. Bier. Loving mother of Sharon (Ken), George (deceased) (Rose), Charlie (Debby), Carol (Scott), Sherry (Ralph), Crystal (Todd), and infant Dot (deceased).  Devoted grandmother to Ryan (Erin), Crystal (Greg), Matthew (Michelle), Andrea, Jesse (Germaine), Aaron, Christopher (Leanne), Charles IV, Bianca (Peter), Jenny (Dwayne), Jacob (Laken), Jillian (Andrew), Richard (Vicky), Alayna (Chris), Rachel (Luke), Jessica (Dan), Luke, and 28 great grandchildren.  Sister of the late Albert, James, Marion, Elva, and Mel.  Also survived by many nieces, and nephews.

Dorothy devoted her long life to her family and community.  Dorothy & Charlie raised their six children on the Bier family farm near Fisherville. Her love of family showed through in her self-less dedication to them.  During this time she was also active in the community as a 4-H leader, Ladies Aid, as well as the Women’s Institute.  She was an avid seamstress throughout the years while also crocheting, knitting, and quilting countless items.  Dorothy’s pies and baking were always plentiful and in demand by her grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed.

Funeral Service will be held at Hyde & Mott Chapel, 60 Main St. S., Hagersville on Saturday November 30, 2024 at 11 am.  (Visiting one hour prior to service).  Interment Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Fisherville.  As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the charity of your choice.  www.rhbanderson.com
