Doris was a vibrant, strong, intelligent woman. I married her son, Bob Speller, in 1983, so I have been her daughter-in-law for over 40 years. I greatly admired her for going to University and earning her degree after her children grew up. Her strength and commitment was manifested when she supported her first husband (Bob’s father) as he was fighting the cancer that eventually took his life and when she took care of her second husband as he succumbed to Alzheimer’s. She was amazing. She also devoted herself to helping Bob run for public office. She loved to sing, golf and get together with her friends. . Christopher, Victoria and I will miss her and always remember her. Rest in peace Doris. Joan Mouland

My sincere sympathies to Brian, David and their families. Doris, Frank and the boys were our next door neighbours for many years in Hagersville. I remember Doris as always friendly, smiling, and perfectly turned out; she looked lovely where ever she went with not a hair out of place. May she rest in peace.

God Bless Her. She was a real Lady. Always Aunt Doris to us. Talked with her a few times when in Dunnville in room next to brother Jim. She will definitely be missed ????????

I met Doris at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club around 2001 and she became my golfing “buddy”, bridge and Lighthouse Theatre companion and we enjoyed many enjoyable years as friends. She was always bright and happy and loved a good laugh. She will be missed and I will always have very fond memories of my special friend.
