So sad to hear of Diane’s passing. She was a wonderful person & a strong & passionate woman. She was courageous in standing up for woman’s rights, human rights and the rights of her own people. I was fortunate to be introduced to Diane by my good friend and her good friend Susan Pratt many years ago. I still wear the mocassins every day that I bought from her Aunt when I visited Diane at her family home 15 years ago. My deepest sympathy to her family & friends.

Heartfelt condolences to Dianne's family.
I am so sorry that I did not see Dianne when she became ill. Also sorry that I was away at her passing and funeral.
Dianne and I have known each other since we were little children as we went to school together where I was good friends with her sister Ruth and hers and my cousin Gina. We spent a lot of time together when Gina was ill and later when we went out for suppers together. I will cherish those times that we spend chatting, remembering and laughing.
Dianne was a truly fine person and a credit to our community. She will be missed.

I went to UBC in Vancouver with Diane and she became a dear friend since. I learned so much from her about living and learning about her heritage was enriching. I tried to contact her as I had planned to visit her after viewing the total eclipse in Ohio and was wondering why I did not hear back. So I searched the Internet and only recently found this page. I am so deeply saddened and hope to visit her resting place to say good bye. Her spirit will be in my heart forever. I wish peace to her big family which I know she loved dearly.
