Craig Charles Peart
The family sadly announces the peaceful passing of Craig Charles Peart on December 9th, 2022 at West Haldimand General Hospital at age 65. Mourning his loss are his children April and Brian Barker of St Marys, Eric and Amber Peart of Hagersville and their mother Marie Fagan Peart of Hagersville. Grandpa to Hayden, Liam and Owen Barker. Son of the late Anne and the late Alvin Peart. Brother of Audrey and late Bill Baldwin of London, Donna and Dennis Corbett of Caledonia, Bruce Peart and Margaret Walton of Dundas. Brother-in-law to Jerry and Lori Fagan of Calgary, Patrick Fagan of Sidney, BC, Mike and Joanne Fagan of Selkirk. Craig will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Craig was born and raised in Oneida township, and spent his life only a stones throw away from his childhood farm, in the home he loved dearly. He loved playing a game of Hoss, heading out to the drag races, watching NFL football, and the opportunity to show off his license plate collection. Craig hated peaches. He more recently spent his days in the halls of Leisure Living Retirement community, cracking jokes, hoarding cookies from the late-night snack cart for his grandchildren and showing off his coin collection. Craig lived life on his terms, walked to the beat of his own drum, and certainly never missed an opportunity to tell a short story long.
The family will honour his life with visitation at the Hyde & Mott Chapel of R. H. B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main Street South, Hagersville on Friday December 16, 2022 from 6 to 9pm. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 11am. Interment to follow at the Gore cemetery with lunch at Oneida United Church.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the West Haldimand General Hospital Foundation. https://www.whgh.ca/foundation/
