So sorry to hear of May’s passing. Got to know May while I worked at Anson Place. She could certainly brighten my day with her laugh. One morning the fire alarm rang as I was getting May ready for the day. Since I had to get to the nursing station as soon as possible, she had to pick either put her teeth in or comb her hair. We looked at each other and started to laugh and she wanted her teeth in. We used to laugh about being neighbours when she lived on Church Street and I lived on John Street. Our kids went to school together. So glad to have gotten to know her.

May was the highlight of everyday I worked at Anson Place. We laughed together, we cried together, she was truly my greatest friend. She loved everyone and everything. Was always so happy and positive. Her laugh was infectious. Something I will never forget. I always told her I loved her and she was like the mother I never had.
