Carolyn Jones-Ryan
March 28, 1945 - October 22, 2025
Nana "The Queen"
Taken too soon after showing such strength in the face of cancer. It is with broken hearts, we share the passing of Carolyn Jones-Ryan, who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hagersville, Ontario, Carolyn lived a life filled with compassion, laughter, and love. She had an incredible ability to light up any room with her smile and make everyone around her feel cared for and welcome.
Carolyn was the beloved daughter of Cecil Swing and Emma Murphy, the cherished sister of Jerry and the late Joyce Swing, the late David Swing, (Alice Swing), the late Jack Brown (Laura),and the late Marion and Ralph Cherry. She was the loving wife of the late Bruce Jones and later found happiness again with her devoted husband, Vincent Ryan.
A proud and exceptional mother, Carolyn will be forever cherished by her daughters Lana Anderson (Jeff) and Tammy Melnyk (Roman), and by her treasured grandchildren Larisa and Kaitlynn Anderson, and Julia and David Melnyk.
Her family was the center of her world, and her warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit touched all who knew her.
Carolyn’s family finds comfort knowing she is reunited with her loved ones and that her memory will live on through the love she shared so freely.
She was a dedicated sales professional for over 57 years. She worked closely with non-profit organizations throughout her career, supporting local communities and contributing to countless charitable initiatives.
A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held at the Ancaster Old Mill, 548 Old Dundas Road, Ancaster on Wednesday November 5, 2025 from 3 to 5pm, where her family and friends will gather to honour her love, happiness, and the beautiful memories she leaves behind. Forever loved, always remembered — Carolyn will be deeply missed and we will carry her in our hearts forever.

Dear Lana & Tammy , I wanted to express my condolences to you and your families. Ann and I have so many great memories of both Caroline & Bruce growing up. So many laughs and good times that we will continue to treasure. Growing up we were not family but Caroline always made us feel like we were.
