  Brent Adolph Burke

After a short battle with cancer at the age of 63 we are saddened to announce the passing of our father Brent Burke on Sunday July 2, 2023.  In their 40th year of marriage he leaves behind his childhood sweetheart Katherine Burke (Fanson).

He leaves behind 2 daughters Lisa Burke (Dave Wilson) and Lyndsay Burke-Sholer (Matt Sholer) as well as beautiful grand daughters who referred to him as their favorite “Poppy” AKA “Puppy” .  He will be missed immeasurably by  Savanna, Aubrey, Sydney, August, Kayla and Katherine.  His sisters Kelly Burke (Mark Bottenfield) and Lorrie Burke (Ron Tuinstra) will miss their big brother with all their hearts.  He is predeceased by his mother Linda Burke and father Adoloh Burke.

Time is something we all have until we don't.

Please join us on Saturday July 15th, 2023 to remember the tequila monster, father, brother, friend, poppy and acquaintance to celebrate his impact on us all.  We will host an open house at 239 Haldimand RD 20 Hagersville  from 2pm until the wee hours to remember him the way he wanted us to.  www.rhbanderson.com

We have many characters walking through our doors every day, but very few people were like Brent.
He came with a smile and a bearlike, teddy-bearlike, charm and wit. We really like Brent and send our heartfelt condolences to the whole family.

Dear Kathy and family,

I am so sorry to hear of your families loss! I remember first meeting Brent at the original Upper James store. He was often quite there, but boy did his presence speak volumes. Keep the memories close to heart and remember to smile as I am quite sure he would love to see them.

I knew Brent through the antique business, he will be remembered as a class act guy who deeply cared about his family.

Kathy & Family; we are so sorry to hear the sad news. Brent was a family man, honest and true to his friends. We got to know him through a business friend and had a great pleasure doing the business with him. We will miss him dearly. Our hearts and thoughts are with you!
