VANNI:  Elizabeth Rosina   “Betty”
Passed away peacefully in her sleep at Anson Place, Hagersville on Monday April 22, 2024 at the age of 89.  Predeceased by her beloved and cherished husband, Mike (February 1981).  Loving mother of Craig (Vicki) of Victoria, B.C., Garth of Pembroke, Myles (Cathy) of Sarnia, and Laird (Betty) of Coldwater.  Loved grandmother / nonna of Meaghan, Michael, Alicia (Jarvis), Nicole, Dustin (Katie), Dylan (Michelle), and Tharin. Great-grandmother of Henry, Tyson, Marcus, Tatum, and Corban.  Survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Jock and Bonnie Vanni of Hagersville, Flora Taylor of Brantford, and Barb Lalonde of Glanbrook and Lucille Yole of Mount Forest. Predeceased by her brothers Henry Yole and his wife Mary, Matt Yole and his wife Yvonne, Wilf Yole, and by her sisters Mary Matthews and her husband Ken, and Coreen Bannister and her husband Dick.   Will be lovingly remembered by the Curran families.  Will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. 
 
The family wish to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses and support staff of Anson Place for their care and compassion shown to Betty. 
 
The family will honour Betty’s life with a visitation at the Hyde & Mott Funeral Home, Hagersville on Thursday May 2nd from 2-4 & 7-9pm, where the service will be held on Friday May 3rd at 1pm.  Interment Hagersville Cemetery.     
 
As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Betty may be made to the to the Inn of the Good Shepherd, Sarnia, www.theinnsarnia.ca or to CNIB Lake Joe,  www.cnib.ca/en/programs-and-services/play/cnib-lake-joe?region=on

I am so very sorry for your loss!
Though I did not know your mom, I have heard so many amazing stories about a strong, smart, caring woman who deeply loved her family, and friends.

I am so sorry for your loss.

Have met your mom was a true blessing - she was a wonderful women and had her hands full with you boys.
She spoke of all of you.
Working with her here at Inn in the Soup Kitchen was event, we would laugh and laugh together over what ever we were doing.
She reminder me of my mom - same beautiful name - Betty.
Heart full of love and caring hands.

To the Vanni family, I had the pleasure of being your Mom's house keeper while she was on Townsend. Oh the travel stories she would tell, you could tell she really enjoyed it.

Heartfelt condolences to the family. Many fond memories of visiting Mrs.Vanni at the Post office when I went in to see Grammy, and also seeing her on Alma St just down from Grandma and Grandpa Gedye. Always was kind and interested and always had a smile to greet me. Rest in Peace !!

RIP Betty I remember you fondly from you living at Parkview Meadows after my Mom passed you were a great friend to my Dad bringing him meals and keeping him company Deb Smith (Oldham)

I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to the Vanni family. Your mom was a very friendly, lovely woman who was so nice to have in the post office. She raised wonderful sons whom I know from Scouting. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
