So very sorry for your loss. You dad was a very fun and caring man. He and your mom are now reunited in each others arms again….. Not for long though as I’m sure my dad is patiently waiting for a good ol card game and a couple of beers with him ♥️♥️

Chris, Paul, Mary Ellen & Families. We are saddened to learn of the passing of your beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather Bert. He was fun loving with a great sense of humour, a devilish tease who cared greatly for others which was evident throughout his career as a proud serving police officer. His love of the outdoors, fishing, hunting was only surpassed by his love for his family. He was a wonderful friend who we shared good times and lots of laughs.
May God grant you His Grace and Peace during this time of deep personal loss of your cherished dad & poppa.

Our sympathy to Chris, Paul and Mary and their families. Your dad is a wonderful man and will be missed by many. Whenever we saw each other we would reminisce about the two of us being in the Haldimand Press together. At the time your dad was the Town Motorcycle Policeman and he had his motorcycle parked in the Town Office parking lot and I thought I should go see him. So here I am, a little girl sitting on his police bike and your Dad standing beside me. I never expected to see a picture of us in the Haldimand Press the next week, but it was and that is when my mom found out where I was that day, obviously she didn’t think it was funny. Cherish all of the good memories of your dad, I know I will❤️

Condolences from Mount Forest to Chris, Paul & Mary, so sorry to hear about Bert. As you know we worked to gather at Cayuga Det and for a few years we were next door neighbors. We remember all the good times, the social get to gathers with your parents and others. A good euchre game was always something to remember. Sorry we haven't connected lately but time, health and aging gets in the way sometimes. May he rest in peace with Pat.

I remember Bert a long time ago when I was a kid. He came to our school for a presentation I think it was something to do with bike safety in the 60's.Anyways I was sitting at the front desk, and he was standing beside me. He was teasing me in a good way. He got the whole class laughing. I never forgot him. He was a very nice police officer. Then when I grew up I met him again. He was one of a kind foresure a nice man.
