Getting to know Anne Marie over the past few years has been such a gift. She was so much more than a passionate advocate , she was an incredible person. I will always be inspired by the way she faced life’s hardest moments with such strength, grace, and positivity, and somehow managed to create light even in the darkest times. That light touched so many people and gave so many people hope. I feel so grateful to have known her personally. I loved our conversations, laughing with her, learning from her, and being mentored by her. She had such a special way of making people feel seen, encouraged, and uplifted, no matter what they were going through. Anne Marie leaves behind a beautiful legacy of hope, kindness, and resilience, and she will be deeply missed. Hugs - Kaylyn

My deepest condolences to Merv and his family. I had the pleasure of meeting Anne and Merv when they moved to Hagersville. Their connection was so beautiful, they joked around with each other and just had such fun energy. Anne Marie was such a lovely woman in so many ways.

I met Anne when she was 16 years old and I was 18. We met at work, our first proper job and we hit it off from the beginning. Even though there was a small age difference which gets smaller as you get older,Anne had an old head on young shoulders. She was lovely girl with a beautiful soul. We had a lot of fun in the 70s. She was my bridesmaid when I got married in 1980,than she emigrated to South Africa. Married her sweetheart Mervyn and the the rest is history. We lost touch then she moved to Canada. I 'found' her thanks to Facebook. I recognised her in her photo immediately. Hair shorter and grey but still that same beautiful face, with those sparkling eyes, lovely smile and her rosie cheeks. Condolences to Mervyn, Sean,Abigail, Liz, Michael, John and Helen. And to Anne my forever friend, who fought this illness with such strength and bravery, the world is a much sadde
r place without you but you rest in peace now sweetheart, til we meet again. Love you. Moira xx
