Muriel Mullins

October 16 1942 - April 4, 2026

 

Muriel Irene Mullins (Nee Dawes) of Simcoe passed away peacefully on April 4 at the age of 83. She was born on October 16, 1942 to Don and Alma Dawes. She graduated from Kempville Agricultural College and taught at various High Schools until retiring to raise 3 sons.

She was active in various crafts, Beta Sigma Phi, and teaching microwave cooking.

Survived by husband Ken of 59 years. Sons Dave & Kimberley, Bradley, Neil & Joanne. Grandchildren Gage, Tyler, Jessica, Sarah, Robyn, Laikin, Cody and Adam. Great grandchildren Everly and Carter. Predeceased by brother Keith Dawes and sister Lois Leitch (Nee Dawes).

 

A celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Special thank you to the fabulous staff at Anson Place Care Centre in Hagersville. Arrangements made by Hyde and Mott Funeral Home, Hagersville. www.rhbanderson.com

Sincere condolences Ken and Family on your loss. I remember Muriel from seeing her at Anson Place when visiting my late Parents. Cherish your happy memories and take comfort in that she is now at peace. Take care.

We are so deeply saddened to hear of Muriel’s passing. She held such a special place in our lives as our mom’s first friend in Norfolk County, and over the years, she became part of so many cherished memories. Her kindness and presence will never be forgotten.
Our hearts go out to her entire family during this difficult time. We find comfort in knowing she is now at rest, and we will always remember her with warmth and gratitude.

We had the great pleasure of meeting Muriel several times through our wonderful friend, the late Sue Hood. Muriel was such a lovely person who we thoroughly enjoyed kibizzing with on our visits to Simcoe. Our heartfelt condolences to Ken who treasured and cared for Muriel in recent years. Such a sad loss. To Ken and family,

So sorry to hear of Muriel’s passing today in Hagersville. We met both of you through Norm and Sue. Muriel was such a warm and caring person and a very good friend of Sue’s. We hope your memories of Muriel will always keep you smiling and thinking of her with you all.

We have so many fond memories of Muriel through many years of shared experiences with our families. We could always count on her to bring crafts for the kids and delicious food to share with all of us. We will always carry fond memories of her kind and gracious demeanor in our hearts.
