
Marguerite Beaver (nee Powless) “Dug-a-Dee”
March 28, 1933 - January 30, 2026
Peacefully on January 30th at the age of 92. Survived by son Sam and wife Robyn, great granddaughter Jericka Antone, and 4 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by husband Peter Beaver, son Bill Powless, grandson Samuel Powless (Lump) , parents Sam & Leah Powless siblings Lois, James(Jim), Constance (Dolly), Melvin, Marvin, Merle, Willis, Winnie, Delmont(Del), Lenora (Lynn), Harvey, Raymond. The family is reunited.
Marg loved sports, she played baseball, pool and bowled. She was a leader of boy scouts " Beaver division".She loved to sing and was a real entertainer.
She was survivor #4 at Mushhole where she attended for 9 years.
Friends may call at the Hyde and Mott Funeral Home 60 Main Street South, Hagersville Sunday from 7 - 9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday February 2, 2026 at 11 am. Interment will be at St. Pauls Anglican Cemetery.

It was so much fun playing ball with Dugadee. She went to Mohawk College in the 80’s to upgrade her schooling and was always so sociable and kind. You have left great memories, including some with talcolm powder that Sal shared with me. Give her a hug for me.

Dug-a-Dee was the best back catcher Thomas Corner ever had.
Always lots for laughter on that team…

I wish to give my sincere sympathy to the family. Marg and I were Beaver leaders for a few years in Hagersville.She had a great name to be a Beaver leader and we had fun with the kids. Rosalind Rumball
