
John Robert Elliott
November 19, 1936 - January 30, 2025
At Brantford General Hospital on Thursday January 30, 2025 John “Dub” Elliott, age 88 years will be joining his beloved wife Dannie Elliott. He will be greatly missed by his daughters Jannette and Marie, along with his grandchildren. Godfather to Angel Skye. Loving brother to Eleanor (Chuckie) and Oliver (Cap) Bomberry and Barb Davis. Predeceased by his parents, Robert and Leah Elliott, siblings Ron Elliott, Dan Elliott and Elva Lickers. He will be deeply missed by many nieces and nephews. John “Dub” was a strong advocate for Residential school survivors, sharing his stories around the world. His passing has left a void in the hearts of all who loved him, but the memories and moments shared will forever remain. The family would like to thank his other “family” the survivors secretariat staff and fellow survivors who shared in his journey. Resting at the Styres Funeral Home, Ohsweken after 6 pm. Sunday February 2. Service at 7 pm. Funeral service will be held at Styres Funeral Home on Monday February 3 at 11 am. Cremation to follow. I am so sorry to hear this news about my friend John.
I got to know Johns through Residential School Survivors.
He always made me laugh when he and the group would come to Nations Uniting to gather.
Going to miss his smile.
