It only seems like only yesterday that this smiling, bubbly, energetic, little girl moved into a house just 2 doors down. In all of the time I lived on Pratt Road I never saw Deanna down. She was a determined young girl who was bound and bent to conquer anything that life could throw at her. I am saddened to hear of this tragic accident. Life seldom makes sense sometimes and we can only believe that there is a higher purpose for Deanna. I will always choose to remember that determined little girl who marched to her own drummer. RIP my friend.

I remember back 22 years ago in Barrie when we met at the video store, we had the same ideals, same passions, you made me laugh, we have each other advise, you were so proud of your kids, and deeply loved the man in your life.
I treasured your friendship and I will always remember you.

I am still in shock over the news of Deanna's passing. I remember her as a bubbly little girl who lived next door, who had great desire to have fun and always had a terrific smile. I always teased her about her beautiful, flowing long hair and promised to marry her if she never cut it. R.I.P. Deanna and my heart goes out to Glenna, Kirby, Shirley and the rest of her family.

I was so shocked and sad to hear the news. We'd been out of touch for a long time, but had just reconnected in the past few months. It's too sudden and cruel. I still think fondly of the gang of us playing as children and hanging around as teenagers back in Barrie, and that makes it all the more difficult to process.

My deepest sympathies to Darren, Deanna's lovely kids and her whole family. So many friends have poured out their love for this strong and vibrant woman, and we must find some comfort in seeing just how much she was loved.

Be at peace.

I have worked with Deanna for a long time now and what stands out the most is how proud she was of her kids and how excited she was for her upcoming marriage. A life taken too soon that god must have bigger plans. My thoughts are with your family just this time of need. Take care of each other, and RIP Deanna.

I am an OPP constable and worked with Deanna both when I was at the Orillia detachment and up to currently in west region.
I learned of her death late last night and I can't believe it. I just spoke with her about 3 weeks ago. i was shocked to learn of her sudden death.
the picture on this memorial page of Deanna, to me, captures her spirit... a bit mischievous, good at her job, hold her ground if she feels right, playful, friendly, approachable, intelligent, strategic, fun...this is how i will remember her.
i am so sorry that i will never be dispatched by her ever again, and i am so very sorry for the loss of all who were in her life.

I can still remember seeing Deanna the first time as she had transferred in from Orillia to London. She was full of confidence and not one to take much (nothing) from anyone. Honestly wondered how we would actually get along. The worries faded quickly. Many a time we chatted as she sat dispatching Oxford and I near her. She was always so open and honest about her life. Refreshing as most want to keep up appearances. Some days we would be laughing and other days it would be of a more serious nature which made you think. She gave advise and searched for it. You could talk to her about anything. I liked that about Deanna.

Deanna was a strong woman. She will be missed but also remembered.
Her legacy now lives on with her family.

My deepest condolences to Deanna's family and dear friends. My heart has been broken since I heard this tragic news. Deanna was so much to so many. I know she touched many lives very deeply and many are grieving this loss. I have not seen her since our teen years in Barrie, but she was someone that you would never forget; she was always there with a quick smile or a kind word. A candle is lit; may the light carry you on angel's wings. Rest well, Deanna.

Shirley, I read , with sadness, of the unfortunate passing of your daughter. Though we have lost touch, I just wanted to give you a written hug. Reading the accolades of other people, she was much loved and obviously inherited the best traits of her Mom. We live in Barrie. Wish you peace and wonderful memories.
