It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Bob surrounded by his loving wife and children at the West Haldimand Hospital, Hagersville on Monday June 8. 2015 at the age of 78 years. Beloved husband and best-friend of 51 years to Mary Lou (Walker) Smith. Loving father of Dennis and Dana, Wendy and Eric, and Dale and Anne. Dear Papa of Travis and Courtney, Rylee, Kelly and Josh, Jodie, Julie, Danni, and Brody. Great grandpa of Ben, and Hayden. Brother of Don and Jean Smith, and Eleanor and Earl Piette. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by daughter-in-law Patti; parents, Vincent and Helen (Best) Smith, and sister Doreen and her husband Jack Daniels. Bob was retired from Stelco Steel as a Millwright after 42 years. He was a devoted Trustee and member of Oneida United Church, member of the Gore Cemetery Board, was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed playing cards, dedicated countless hours as a coach and executive member with minor sports and loved his community.
